St. Johns Kiwanis
Players signing up to complete in this year’s Kiwanis sponsored Mint Festival Tennis Tournament will save time and money by visiting a new website designed especially for the August 9 to 11 event.
Kiwanian Laurie Bishop, through her Locale Media cyber location, has added a link leading to full information and registration details. Visit at http://www.stjohnslocale.com/Locale_media/Kiwanis_Tennis.html and complete registration and Pay Pal information then submit on line.
The form may also be completed, printed and mailed with appropriate fee to tournament director, Chris Bouck, 505 E. Higham St., St. Johns, MI 48879. Play times may also be secured by calling Bouck at 989 224-1921. Both doubles partners must each complete an application and pay the designated fee.
The annual Mint Festival Tennis Tournament is conducted in memory of Terry Cornwell, a former Kiwanian and popular High School Counselor and attracts contestants from many areas of Michigan. Competition includes both singles and doubles match-ups over the three day schedule.
Registration fee for singles play is $20.00 per player plus one can of tennis balls if payment is received by July 19. After that date the fee raises to $25.00 until July 31. Thereafter, if match times can be arranged, the fee is $30.00.
Doubles policy is similar, but fees are $30.00, $35.00 and $40.00 with two cans of tennis balls. Match times for both categories will be available at the web site after Aug. 7 or by calling Director Bouck or Asst. Director Ken Perrin at 989 640-1865.
