Smithie Buick Sales update
by Barry Bauer

Cindy (Mazzolini) Knight writes: “I have that article and that is my grandfather, Bruno Mazzolini, who is purchasing his 27th car from Mr. S.G. Smith. Bruno bought his first Buick in 1919. This is the 1953 Golden Anniversary Buick.”
Tom Beechler adds to the story: “The salesman, however, looks too young to be S. R. Smith. As I recall, the son . . . ran his car up under a flatbed trailer at the railroad tracks at Ola corners.”
[Editor’s note: S. G. Smith, the salesman. Stanley G. (Gerry) Smith was killed June 23, 1953.]
