Thanking Sparrow Clinton Hospital
I had the misfortune of having to go to the emergency room at Sparrow Clinton Hospital twice in a 6-day period earlier this summer. But I was so thankful to have the hospital here in St. Johns. Both times I went were in the very early morning hours, so I was especially grateful not to have to drive very far to be treated. I was treated quickly and professionally both times; being admitted for about 12 hours on my first visit.
However I again sought out the emergency room 6 days later, for the same symptoms. I was very fortunate to be able to only travel a short distance from home to be treated by the most wonderful people. I saw some of the same professional, caring staff in the emergency room on my second visit as I did on my first visit. Everyone I came in contact with on both visits treated me like one of their own family members and I couldn’t have been in better or more capable hands. I ended up having emergency surgery and returned home later that afternoon.
After returning home, I was called 3 different times in the next two days, from nurses (or someone) checking my progress and to make sure everything was going as planned. Wow – what a great thing we have here in our own home town!! Sometimes we yearn for bigger and better but this is one time I am glad to have a smaller hospital with local folks taking care of us.
My utmost thanks and appreciation for such a caring hospital staff!
