Become a member of the Clinton County Senior Center

And get Free Bingo in October
Are you interested in participating in activities, socializing, learning new things and enjoying a good lunchtime meal prepared from fresh ingredients? Then you should join the Clinton County Senior Center.
Now is the time to join because of a short-term grant the center has received for their bingo program. If you become a member in October and come to lunch on Tuesdays or Fridays the grant pays for your bingo on those days. Lunch is served at Noon and then bingo follows at 12:30 pm. Another part of the grant will allow the center to give out gift certificates in November on periodic Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays during the lunchtime meals.
The meals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are provided through Tri-County Office on Aging and are available for $3.00 if you are 60 or older (suggested donation) or $5.00 for anyone under the age of sixty. Since meals are ordered a day in advance, please call the center at 989-224-4257 by 2:00 pm the day before you plan on attending. This will help them ensure they have enough food for everyone attending.
The Clinton County Senior Center, located at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. Current activities include bingo, Euchre tournaments, dice games, day trips, movie day, bible study, use of exercise room or library, birthday parties and daily lunchtime meals. Normally the cost to play bingo is $1 each day if you participate in the lunchtime meal or $2.00 if you come just for the bingo. Those fees will resume in November for all members of the center.
While bingo is a favorite of many seniors, it is not everyone’s cup of tea. If you have ideas of different activities the center should plan, please call them with your ideas. Or if you are at the center take a few minutes to complete a brief survey with your ideas.
If you have any questions about this special promotion, call Senior Center Board Member Brenda Terpening at 989-224-7248
