This house was built prior to 1874 and was originally owned by Myron Kniffin who ran a successful farm implement business somewhere on Higham Street.
This house belonged to Miss Ana Ryan. For many years she was a popular teacher at Central School. After her retirement, she tutored another generation of students. Pupils would be dismissed from class to walk across the street to Miss Ryan’s house.
Another previous owner was Lloyd Bensinger. Current owners are Robert and Sharon Walder.
