February, 2014

February 19

Come to a Sing-a-Long. On Wednesday, Feb 19 from 12:30 – 2:30 the center will host a Sing-a-Long and then refreshments. Marlene Szarka and Donna Hoffer will be playing the piano and everyone attending is encouraged to sing along to the music.
The music will be from 12:30-1:30 with refreshments served from 1:30-2:30 pm. While enjoying snacks you are welcome to play cards, play board games or just socialize.
This is a free event. If you would like to come to lunch before the event it starts at 12:00 pm and is available for a suggested $3 donation. An RSVP the day before is needed to come for lunch. Just call the center at 989-224-4257. This is the first of many events that will be held in 2014 because of a grant received from Jackson National Life.
Every Monday
The Senior Center is also the place to be on Mondays for a great homemade meal. Menus for February include: Feb 3: Chicken, Feb 10: Lasagna, Feb 17: Turkey Casserole and Feb 24: Meatloaf. These meals (complete with all the fixings) are available for $5. The center also serves a sandwich with chips ($3) and homemade pie ($1.50/slice) each Monday. Take outs are always available – call 224-4257 in advance and it will be ready when you stop to pick it up.
The Clinton County Senior Center is located at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns (just one block north of M21 on the corner of Spring and Walker). While at the center save some time to take a look through their two Gift Shops (one has glassware, nic nacs, etc and the other has all homemade items). If you have any questions about the Senior Center, call them at 989-224-4257.
