The Speck House is located at 602 W. State Street, St. Johns.
This house is the back half of a structure that was once located where Rodney B. Wilson Junior High School now stands. It was cut in half and moved here in 1929. The other half of the house is next door. The original house was owned by Rodney’s Grandmother Ball. When the school board planned the new high school, the family donated the land for the school, and the house was moved.
The current owners are John and Sharon Speck. Previous owners were Delaere/VanBuren.
