City of St. Johns Summer Softball, Volleyball, and Kickball League
Take a moment and reminisce about your grade school days when you use to play kickball in the school yard, and then gather your friends to play some kickball at the city park. The Co-Ed Kickball League sign-up deadline is May 19, 2014, with rosters and waivers due May 26, 2014. The league plays seven games on Monday evenings with a tournament at the end, starting June 9th, 2014. The cost is $125.00 per team plus additional player and capital improvement fees.
If Kickball isn’t your sport, maybe you rather pretend you are on a beach near the ocean playing some 4 on 4 Sand Volleyball. The 4 on 4 Volleyball Leagues sign-up deadline is May 9, 2014 with rosters and waivers due May 26, 2014. All leagues will begin the week of June 2, 2014, with Men’s League on Monday evenings, Coed League on Tuesday evenings, and Women’s League on Wednesday evenings. All teams will play at least 8 matches with a tournament the last week. The cost is $110.00 per team plus additional player and capital improvement fees.
Do you miss playing softball league when you were a kid? Why not put together a team and hit some homeruns? The previous deadline for softball league has been extended, so all teams need to be registered no later than, Tuesday, April 8, 2014.Leagues are limited to the first 10 teams that register and pay the $250 team fee. There will be a $15 late fee for any team fees paid after April 8th – NO EXCEPTIONS. The roster, waiver form, player and capital improvement fees are due no later than Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Rosters, waiver forms and player fees received after April 23rd may be dropped from the league. Cost for the league is $250 for women’s and men’s league ten game schedule. There are also additional player and capital improvement fees (see registration form for details). The season will begin the week of May 5, 2014 with men playing on Wednesday nights and women on Thursday nights. Men’s Tuesday Night Double Header League plays 20 games and costs $500 per team plus the player and capital improvement fees.
Church Softball League sign-up deadline is April 25, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. with rosters and waivers due May 23, 2014. The co-ed church league is a six-week season, played on Sunday nights, starting June 1, 2014. Game times will be 4:00, 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00 depending on the number of teams that sign up. The cost for the league is $150.00 per team plus additional player and capital improvement fees. Umpires will be used this year.
Co-Ed (non-church) Softball League sign-up deadline is April 25, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. with rosters and waivers due May 23, 2014. The co-ed league is a six-week season, played on Sunday nights, starting June 1, 2014. Umpired game times will be 4:00, 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. depending on the number of teams that sign up. The cost for the league is $150.00 per team plus additional player and capital improvement fees. Umpires will be used this year.
Registration packets for the 2014 City of St. Johns Kickball, Volleyball, and Softball leagues are available and can be picked up between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday at the City Offices.
