CASA looking for volunteers
Volunteers are called to serve in many capacities. During the week of April 6th we join the celebration of service during National Volunteer Appreciation Week!
During 2012, 77,355 CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Volunteers across the United States donated nearly 5.4 million hours of service advocating for over 234,000 children involved in court proceedings due to abuse or neglect (casaforchildren.org).
CASA-The Voice for Clinton County’s Children is led by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to the development of a strong, sustainable advocacy program.
During March and April, Clinton County’s first CASA Volunteer Advocates are participating in 30 plus hours of pre-service training.
This commitment to service will be formally recognized when they are sworn in by the court as CASA Advocates on May 13, 2014. Our program celebrates and appreciates all volunteers, including our Board of Directors, CASA Volunteer Advocates, and community supporters, who together in service advocate for the best interests of children involved in court proceedings due to abuse or neglect.
Thank you!
