Craft Show has something for everyone

May 10
On Saturday, May 10 the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their 12th Annual Springtime Community Festival and a big part of the day is a Craft Show. At the show you will find everything from homemade quilts, wood crafts, jewelry, kitchen towels, knitted scarfs, table linens and more. There will also be home based dealers selling products from Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Miche and Scentsy. The craft show will be held in the CC RESA Building at 1013 S US 27 in St. Johns and will run from 9 am to 3 pm.
You will also have the opportunity to purchase baked goods, get a great homemade lunch (Sloppy Joes from the Clinton County Senior Center) and talk with individuals from area businesses and non-profits.
Kids will enjoy the Touch a Truck in the parking lot, along with the free crafts they can make inside the building. And, new this year is a Chalk Art Contest for children. From 12:30-1:15 pm kids can create something on the sidewalk and then judging will be done at 1:30 pm. Winners will win art supplies. Then at 1:30 Tim Salisbury will be on hand to provide entertainment for children of all ages.
Throughout the day door prizes will be awarded through a raffle with Grand Prizes of an XBOX 360, a boys bike and a girls bike that will be given out at 3:00 pm. Everyone attending the show between 1-2:30 pm will have a chance to enter a special drawing that you must be present to win. The prize will be various gift certificates from area businesses.
There is still room for crafters and business non-profit booths. The Springtime Festival is a great place for Home Based businesses to promote their business since the event brings potential customers directly to you.
