Preliminary exam reforms signed into law

The law, authored by Leonard, R-DeWitt Township, reforms Michigan’s preliminary examination process for those charged with a crime. The measure is a culmination of many years of discussion; and it’s a move, Leonard says, that will make the process more efficient and effective for Michigan taxpayers while protecting crime victims and preserving the rights of those accused.
