Ready, set, go . . . to Andy T’s Farms for the 16th Annual Pumpkin Trot 10K & 5K Run/Walk. Runners and walkers will take their marks on Sunday, Oct. 5, at Andy T’s Farm Market, located at 3131 S. US-127, St. Johns.
“The Pumpkin Trot has been a big success in the past, and the addition of sponsorships several years ago made the event even more special by donating race proceeds to local charitable organizations,” says Sunday Todosciuk. “This year’s Pumpkin Trot benefits the Clinton County Safe Center.”
The format of the Pumpkin Trot features a variety of race events for all ages and abilities. There’s the Pumpkin Dash for youth aged six and under; 1K run for ages 11 and under; and 5K and 10K races for male and female runners in teen and adult groups.
Pre-registration prior to Oct. 5 is $20 for adults; $15 for high school and younger students; and $7 for the 1K and Kids Pumpkin Dash. Registration on race day is $25 for adults. Prices are the same as pre-registration for students and youth.
All participants in the youth 1K run and Pumpkin Trot will receive goodie bags. Trophies go to the overall male and female winners; awards go to the top three finishers in each division. All participants who pre-register also receive a race t-shirt.
Registration and check-in for all racers is from noon to 1 p.m., Oct. 5. The Pumpkin Dash begins at 12:50, followed by youth 1K dash at 1 p.m.; 5K and 10K races begin at 1:30.
The race route includes both road and trail surfaces.
