Saturday, December 6
The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 12th Annual Christmas Festival that will be held on Saturday, December 6 at the CC RESA Building (1013 S US 27 in St. Johns). The festival will include a Breakfast with Santa from 8-10:30 am, Craft Show and Festival of Trees from 8am-3pm and Kids Crafts from Noon-3pm.
For the Breakfast with Santa purchase of advance tickets is encouraged. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under (free for children under 2) and are available at the Chamber of Commerce and Big Boy of St. Johns. Only those participating in the breakfast will be able to get pictures with Santa – please bring your own camera. The breakfast will include scrambled eggs, silver dollar pancakes and sausage prepared by Big Boy of St. Johns and cereals, muffins and beverages. During the Breakfast kids can also get their face painted for free and throughout the day everyone can get a free photo at a Photo Booth.
There will be over 75 vendors at the Craft Show selling items such as ornaments, tree skirts, jewelry, quilts, wood products, candles, soaps, baked goods, candy and much more. There will be over 75 prizes given out through a raffle throughout the day (tickets will be $1 each or 7 for $5).
The Festival of Trees is a beautiful display of theme decorated Christmas Trees. You can vote for your favorite tree with a monetary donation. The tree that collects the most votes (most money) gets to decide which charity receives all the money that was collected. If you would like to enter a tree, call the Chamber today.
The Kids Crafts is for kids of all ages to make things for themselves or make gifts for family and friends. Most crafts are only .25 or .50 to make. Most come in kits so you can make them at the festival or purchase the kits and make them at home. An example of each craft will be on display during the Breakfast with Santa.
There will be a lunch available at the festival. The Clinton County Senior Center will also be selling BBQ Sandwiches, Hot Dogs, Nachos, chips and beverages starting at 10:00 am.
