Drop-In Storytime and more
Independent listeners ages 3-5 are invited to the library for a drop-in storytime Tuesday mornings from 10:00-10:30am, January 6-27. This fun program will feature stories about animals of all stripes and an activity sheet. No advance registration is required.
Family Movie Friday
Looking for something fun to do on a day off school? Briggs Public Library will be screening the hit movie “Dolphin Tale 2” on Friday, January 23rd at 2:30 pm. The inspiring true story of Winter, the dolphin with a prosthetic tale, continues. The film runs 107 minutes, and is rated PG. All children under the age of ten must be accompanied by an adult. Patrons are welcome to bring pillows or camp chairs for more comfortable seating, and refreshments will be available to purchase for a small fee.
Pre-Reader Storytime: “I Get the Picture”
This six week session is designed for independent listeners age 4-6. The children will enjoy stories featuring photography instead of illustrations. During the 6 weeks there will also be activities, music, snacks and crafts. The sessions are on Thursday evenings, 6:30-7, January 15 – February 19. Jr. Readers Book Club
Join the Junior Readers Book Club for a Hawaiian Luau on Monday, January 26 at 7:00. We will be discussing the book The Volcano of Doom by Sigmund Brouwer as well as playing a game and having a snack. The book club is for ages 7-9. Books will be available at the Circulation Desk when registering.

Did you get a tablet or eReader for Christmas? Want to learn how to get Free eBooks on it from the Library? The Library is offering one-on-one sessions during the month of January to show you how to download Library eBooks. Call or stop in the Library to schedule an appointment.
Library Closures
The Library will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2015 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. The drop box on the Library porch will be available for returns throughout these closures.
