Quiet Waters Symposium

The Friends of ther Maple River invites you to visit us at the Quiet Waters Symposium that will be held at the Agriculture Pavilion on the Michigan State University Campus at 4301 Farm Lane just south of East Mt Hope road. If you are interested in or participate in the “Quiet” non-motorized water sport of canoeing and kayaking, you should attend this event on Saturday March 7th.

The Friends of The Maple River will have an informational booth at the symposium and we welcome all attendees to stop by and learn about the unique features of the Maple River and it’s “Quiet Water” boating opportunities.
Ticket prices for the symposium are $10.00 for adults and a discount for children and high school and college age students. Show hours are from 9:00AM to 5:30 PM. For detailed information about the event, log onto the symposium website at www.quietwatersymposium.org/.

The FOMR will have Maple River boating Guides on sale and will also give away a free guide to one lucky individual who registers at our booth for the drawing. The Quiet Waters event is a great place for anyone interested in Quiet Water kayaking or canoeing, or who is an active paddler. It’s educational and informative.
