Discipline without Violence

An Early Childhood Workshop on March 19
You may have heard the saying “Spare the rod and spoil the child” but is that really a philosophy that helps children learn self-control? This workshop will explore why it isn’t, and more importantly look at types of discipline that are effective in helping children change their behavior.
This workshop is offered by MSU Extension in Clinton County for interested parents, child care providers, and preschool teachers on March 19, 2015, from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, at the St. Peter Lutheran School (8990 Church Rd.) in St. Johns. Please call in advance to register at 989-224-5241. There is a $5 fee, payable at the door.
MSU Extension offers a variety of early childhood workshops throughout the year. Upcoming workshops include 1-2-3 Math; Yield for Teachable Moments; and The Purpose of Play. Please call 989-224-5241 for more information.
