May 9 Springtime Festival
On Saturday, May 9 there will be an event that has something for everyone in the family. The 13th Annual Chamber Springtime Community Festival will be held at the CC RESA Building (across from McDonalds and Burger King) and will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
For mom and dad there are craft vendors to visit selling everything from wood crafts to jewelry, quilts, dog blankets, hair accessories, aprons, etc., and vendors selling products like Tupperware, Partylite, Thirty One, It Works, Scentsy, etc. And, you will have the opportunity to visit with other store front businesses and non-profits like Keck Coleman Funeral Home, Ferralls Tree Trimming and Removal and PKSA Karate, just to name a few.
Kids of all ages will enjoy the Touch-a-Truck where there will be fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and more. There will also be free crafts kids can make and take home. And, every child attending will have the opportunity to win prizes like stuffed animals, scooters, bikes and more.
Go around lunch time and you can purchase lunch from the Clinton County Senior Center. They will have BBQ Pork Sandwiches, Nachos and Hotdogs. They will also have a Bake Sale throughout the day.
The first 50 people arriving at 9:00 a.m. will receive a treat bag, and an additional 50 treat bags will be given out at 1:00 p.m. More than 30 prizes will be given out in a free raffle throughout the day, and a special drawing with a prize of $100 in gift certificates will take place for anyone that shops at the festival in the afternoon. Every time you make a purchase from a vendor between 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. you will be entered into the special “must be present to win” drawing.
Two additional features of the day will include eye screening from the St. Johns Lioness/Lions Club P.E.E.K. program for young children and a Cardio Drumming demonstration at 11:00 a.m.
