Concert in the Park
The “Best of Clinton County” takes the stage at the St. Johns City Park Performance Shell July 1 as the weekly Concert in the Park series continues with a new program in 2015.
“We want to continue to showcase our local talent each summer,” says Concert in the Park Program Coordinator Bill Tennant. “This show features 11 performances who were selected by our program committee from submitted videos.”
The 21 vocalists and musicians will perform a variety of musical styles and settings, from soloists to quartets like the band Synergy. The ages of the performers who are from the DeWitt, Fowler and St. Johns areas range from 11 through adult.
First up, Jared and Joyce Feldpausch
“Some of the performers have extensive experience performing in various venues throughout the state, and some are relatively young and just starting out,” Tennant says. “This show offers something for everyone to enjoy.”
Concert in the Park is sponsored by the Clinton County Arts Council (CCAC) and the City of St. Johns. The St. Johns Lions and Lioness Club staff a concession stand each week offering light refreshments; all concerts are held rain or shine.
