I met up with the Mint City Senior Club at Sundaes Ice Cream Parlor for their get together. This group used to meet at the Coming Home Activities Center on Clinton Ave.
No dues are needed to join this group and new members are always welcome to join.
The group starts at 12:00 noon and will be together for 4-5 hours.

One of the members starts off with playing piano and members join in singing a song.
They offer a nutritious lunch for $3.00. Members also bring in homemade baked goods for the occasion. The group meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
After lunch they have many different things they enjoy, such as cards, Euchre; and when it is cleared, they will have Bingo. They also have a silent auction, monthly birthday party and fundraisers.
The members have formed a close relationship with each other. Board Members are: President Jan Simpson who also covers as Secretary and Treasurer. Linda Scott, Sherry Bidel and Eloise Falor round out the rest of the Board.
I can attest to the fact that they are a fun-loving group that really enjoy their time together. What a way to spend three afternoons in the company of so many caring people!
Thanks, Jan and Eloise, for interviewing with me and taking the pictures. I can see this will be a long lasting group of friends.
