September 11 memorial service on the House floor
St. Johns Police Chief Kyle Knight joined State Rep. Tom Leonard in the Capitol rotunda prior to the Michigan House of Representatives’ September 11 memorial service on the House floor.
House members invited first responders and members of the military as their guests during the ceremony, which marked the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
The names of 14 first responders and servicemen from Michigan who died in the line of duty during the past year were read during the ceremony.
