Firemen promoted in 1973

In July, 1973 the promotion of 4 St Johns firemen was announced by fire dept. officials.
Promoted to the rank of captain was Gary Biddinger, 710 N Mead St. He resides with his wife Linda and their 2 children, Cheryl, age 9; and Alan, 11. Biddinger has been with the department for 9 years, He is owner/operator of the St Johns Oil Co.
Terry Kentfield has also been a fireman 9 years, and was promoted to senior lieutenant. A painter-interior decorator, he and his wife Kristie have 3 children, Kim, 7; Kelly, 5; and Kristie, 2. They reside at 700 E State St.
Promoted to lieutenant was Lloyd Charles Bensinger. He and his wife, Janet, reside at 310 S Ottawa St. with their 4 children, Charles, 10; Bill, 8; Scott, 6; and Bryan, 4. An employee of Egan Ford, he has been a fireman approximately 9 years.
Also promoted was Tom Goff to the rank of lieutenant. A press operator at Federal Mogul, he has been with the department 8 years. He and his wife, Nancy, live at 1101S Oakland St with their 5 children, Lori, 16; Pat, 14; Craig, 11; Kathy, 10; and Larry, age 8.
