Spray Park
The newly built spray park in St. Johns will have better accessibility as well as shade structures in time for summer, thanks to $50,000 in funding approved today in the state House.
Rep. Tom Leonard today voted to approve House Bill 4078, which authorizes funding from the state Natural Resources Trust Fund (NRTF) to be given to the city of St. Johns for the project.
“There are many in the St. Johns community who worked so hard to make this spray park a reality, including our veterans,” said Leonard, R-DeWitt. “This last bit of funding will help to complete the park and ensure access for all who want to enjoy it.”
The grant from the NRTF also enables St. Johns to increase access to the softball field and improve the disc golf course. HB 4078 now goes to the Senate for consideration.
