With an album by Maralyn Fink Woodbury
The weekend of August 8, 9, 10 was a big weekend for the Class of ‘59 as this was also our class reunion. It was three days of fun, laughs and just plain talking.
Planning started a year and a half ago by chairman Maralyn Fink Woodbury. It was past time for a class float, so it was scheduled for Mint Festival weekend.
On Thursday morning the committee gathered at Michigan Sign and Graphics to start putting together “the float”. Fours hours later, it was completed.
Traveling to different party stores as far as Traverse City, we completed just the right touches that were needed. Thanks to some experienced carpentry, the backdrop was up and running. Decorations and straw bales completed the look.
My thanks go out to Bruce DeLong and Andy T’s for the use of the trailer and the straw bales. And to my committee members Ranny Briggs, Jean Martis Bradley, Sue Tarr Laningham and her husband Al and Janet Henning Light.
Go Class of ‘59!
