Most Holy Trinity Parish Festival

On Sunday I decided to attend the Parish Festival in Fowler, my heritage town. It was a sunny warm day and just right for some fun.

My first sight was the girls basketball tournament, and they were having a close game.

After walking around awhile and talking to people I knew, I decided to hit the Arts and Crafts wheel. 25cents to play. Okay I can do this. I plunked down what few quarters. I had and played a few games, then a few more etc.; so decided I had my usual luck. But that’s fine; it was fun and helped the church out also.

Next I decided to purchase some raffle tickets for a cash prize and the quilts.I’m still waiting for someone to call me with what I won!!

Guess I’ll go to the Country Store and see what I can find there. Well, if I didn’t find some cookies! I bought some of those for the road and talked to the people who manned the store. Business had been brisk.

I visited with Father Dennis who is always smiling and is easy going. It was a pleasure to visit and also see his flower garden that he takes care of. You will see that with Andy T’s Garden Walk pictures in this edition.

The food in the Activities Center was plenty and business there was doing well.

I would like to thank Father Dennis, all of the people who worked on this and the people I just plain talked to. They are all very gracious people and such a friendly group.

Fowler might be small, but they have a big heart.
