Knapps takes on a new life

A few generations of St. Johns area residents still recall the excitement of a shopping trip to Lansing. Those trips almost inevitably included a stop at Knapp’s Department Store. One of the later trips even included the purchase of a wedding dress. Arbaugh’s was nice, but Knapp’s was the top of the line.
Dewpoint, a leading technology consultant and integrator, celebrated the grand opening of their new headquarters in the Knapp Center with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday September 16. Dewpoint has a successful history in Greater Lansing serving clients across the country in numerous industries, including state and local government, health care, financial services, biotechnology, manufacturing, insurance and more. The company has been part of the Lansing community since 1996.
But let’s not forget the old Knapps. Here is a video visit back to a time when Knapp’s was the place to shop.
