Terry L. Wise
Terry L. Wise died Monday, May 11, 2015 at the age of 54. He was born September 18, 1960 in St. Johns, MI the son of Donald J. and Glenna J. (Jaquish) Wise. Terry was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.
Surviving is a daughter, Elizabeth (Josh Jones) Wise of Lansing; one son, Donald (Audrey) Wise of DeWitt; three grandchildren, Hailee Lane, Jake and Olivia Wise and one unborn grandchild; his mother, Glenna Jaquish and his brothers and sisters, Efie (David) Bond, Frank Cressman, Felice Blankenship, Doug (Freda) Wise, Richard (Chrissy) Wise, Donnie (Tracey) Wise, Lisa (Tim) Jasmine, Barb (Brent) Jason, Mike (Melissa) Wise, Linda (Wendell) Elliott and Tracy Wise. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, an uncle and a sister, Cheryl Moggo.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at 12:00, noon Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 6823 S. Loomis Rd. DeWitt. Memorials may be made to www.gofundme.com/. Terry Wise Funeral Fund. The family was assisted with these arrangements by Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns.
Mary-Ellen Andrews
Mary-Ellen Andrews, age 60, of St. Johns, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Laurels of Fulton, after a battle with cancer.
Mary-Ellen was born in Saginaw, on April 25, 1955, the daughter of John “Buck” and Shirley (Climie) Breasbois. She graduated form Merrill High School in 1973.
She met and married Robert “Lee” Andrews, Jr., of Ithaca, in 1976. The following year they moved to St. Johns.
Mary and Lee had two sons, Adam and Wayne. Through the years of Little League, wrestling and other activities, Mary was called ‘Mom” by many of the boys she worked with. She enjoyed working with flowers and baking, and loved to go to events that her sons were involved in.
Mary is survived by her husband, Lee; her sons, Adam Andrews and Wayne (Stacey) Andrews; her brother, Bob (Connie) Breasbois, of Merrill; and her sister, Bonnie Schmuckal of Traverse City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jackie; and her sister, Sandy.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Father Andrzej Boroch officiating. Interment will follow in Essex Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Barden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Laurels of Fulton.
Robert LeRoy Miller
Robert “Bob” LeRoy Miller, age 93, passed away on May 6, 2015. He was born in Lansing, MI on May 7, 1921, the son of LeRoy and Rachael (Jenks) Miller. Bob retired from GM in 1986 as an electrician and was a Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Bible Church and the Jack Pine Lodge (Lansing Motorcycle Club), where he raced motorcycles from 1945 to the early 50’s. Bob enjoyed flat track racing, time with family at the cottage in the Farwell area, was an avid deer hunter and a Detroit Tiger’s fan. He and his wife also enjoyed their winters in Florida. He married Maxine Pollitt on Nov. 27, 1943 and she preceded him in death on December 25, 2005.
Surviving are his daughters, Connie (Carlton) Andrus of St. Johns, Cheri (Jim) Morgrette of Saginaw and Robin (Ron) Rochon of Dewitt, grandchildren, Robert (Amy) Andrus, Jeffery Andrus, Gordon (Raven) Pettigrew, Jessie (Kara Stephens) Pettigrew, Greg (Sonia) Rochon, Abby Rochon, great grandchildren, Anakin Andrus, Alexander Andrus, Dalton Andrus, Dallas Andrus, Amya Garza, Mukwa Pettigrew, Desmond Rochon and sisters, Dorothy Ballard and Sandy (Bob) Hart. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, his parents, sisters, Phyllis Roys, Sarah Demers, Beverly Barker, Ruth Holton and brother, Gerald Miller.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns, with Pastor John Jakus presiding, private burial to follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to Memorial Healthcare Hospice.
