Turning Point Youth Center dedicates Freund’s Fairway

On Thursday, June 11th Turning Point Youth Center held a unique event. This was a special occasion honoring an employee that everyone loved, Michael Freund.
Michael had to retire from the job he loved due to health issues. The staff at the facility wanted to show Michael how much he meant to them so with a little planning, they came upon the idea of making a golf hole along with flag naming it “Freund’s Fairway.”
A few drives were hit amongst personnel for a test drive with Michael looking on proudly. I saw a quiet happiness from Michael as family, friends and fellow co-workers looked on also.
Congratulations Michael, you have every right to be proud. You have your own fairway which most people do not.
We wish you well, and you will be in the hearts and prayers of many.
