Known as &#8220;the gem of mid-Michigan golf courses,&#8221; the Emerald is just a 10-minute drive north of St. Johns on US 127. The course was designed by renowned golf course architect Jerry Matthews and features a wooded, northern theme.<br \/>\nA total of 64 teams, 260 golfers, are expected to hit the links during morning and afternoon flights with awards given to the top women\u2019s, men\u2019s and mixed teams. Prize contests include putting, chipping and hole-in-one.<br \/>\nThe Stroke for Life has raised more than $630,000 since 1984, funding essential facilities and technologies at Sparrow Clinton Hospital. Funds raised at the 2010 scramble will be used to purchase a computerized video colonoscopy system.<br \/>\nTeam and sponsorship opportunities are still available.
