To the parents\/guardians\/caregivers astonishment…We had to pay to play.<br \/>\nWow! Many are soured by this.<br \/>\nI emailed the powers that be regarding this…I got your typical nonsensical response; “This is how it is done in the world of baseball.”<br \/>\nReally! Is this what American baseball is about…taking from students to pay their bills?<br \/>\nThe students of Bath High School are hardworking, academic-achieving young adults. Can the Lugnuts not find another way to extract monies from the public to make a profit?<br \/>\nWith the state of the economy being what it is, it saddens me that the environment surrounding baseball is so un-American and lascivious.<br \/>\nWhen did we start charging admission to honor our flag\/country? Our troops are out there paying the price for our freedom with their blood while their countrymen are being charged for the privilege to express their thanks.<br \/>\nPost Script: Cooley Law School expeditiously responded to my concerns. They stated, “We only purchased the naming rights.” At least they had the decency to deem my concerns legitimate.<br \/>\nC. J.
