The City of St. Johns Recreation Department is accepting registrations for the softball tournament to be held during the St. Johns Mint Festival, August 13th \u2013 15th.
\nThe double elimination tournament will be played at the St. Johns Youth Baseball fields located behinds Bee\u2019s Chevrolet. Games will be played on Friday from 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m.-10:30 p.m. and Sunday (if necessary) from 8:00- ? p.m. Cost for the tournament is $185 per team.
\nThe registration deadline is Tuesday, August 3rd. Registrations received or postmarked after August 3rd will not be guaranteed a spot and will incur a $15 late fee if accepted. Payment must be received with the registration to hold a spot in the tournament. Alcohol is not permitted on the tournament site. The tournament will have Recreational and Competitive Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s divisions with a limit of forty teams accepted. The homerun limit is 1 per game for the recreational division and 2 then 1 more for the competitive division with additional homeruns being counted as outs for all divisions. Divisions may be combined or dropped if not enough teams sign up.
\nA softball manager\u2019s meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 11th at Ryan\u2019s Roadhouse (formerly Ye Ole Roadhouse) at 6:30 pm. \nGet on board for the Seventh Annual Mint Festival Co-ed Kickball Tournament. The City of St. Johns Recreation Department is accepting registrations for the tournament to be held during the Mint Festival. There are two divisions: 18-39 and 40+. Divisions may be combined if not enough teams sign up.
\nThe double elimination co-ed tournament will be held Friday, August 13th through Sunday, August 15th. Games will be played on Friday from 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and Sunday (if necessary) from 11:00-? p.m. Games will take place at the Main softball field in the City Park. Teams consist of at least 10 players: five-women and five-men. Cost for the tournament is $125. Registration must be received or postmarked by August 4th. Registrations received after August 4th may not be accepted and if accepted will incur a $15 late fee. Payment must be received with the registration to hold a spot in the tournament.
\nNew this year is the First Annual Mint Festival 4 on 4 Co-ed Sand Volleyball Tournament. Registrations are now being accepted for the tournament to be held during the Mint Festival. The round-robin then single elimination co-ed tournament will be held Saturday, August 14th through Sunday, August 15th. Games will be played on Saturday 10:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and Sunday (if necessary) from 11:00-? p.m. Games will take place at the volleyball courts in the City Park. Teams consist of at least 4 players: two-women and two-men. Cost for the tournament is $110. Registration must be received or postmarked by August 4th. Registrations received after August 4th may not be accepted and if accepted will incur a $15 late fee. Payment must be received with the registration to hold a spot in the tournament.
