The types of repairs performed include wheelchair ramps, interior and exterior repairs, and energy efficiency improvements. Families must own the property in order to qualify for this program.<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/10aug\/creditunion.jpg' alt='image.jpg' class='ngg-singlepic ngg-center' \/><br \/>\nIn the spring and summer of 2011, Habitat will begin their sixth house for a low-income family in need of a safe, decent and affordable home. The home will be built in the village of Ovid on a lot donated to Habitat. The selected family will partner with Habitat and must be willing to help build their home by giving 250 sweat equity hours per adult. The home is sold to the family at an affordable price because of the many generous donations of money, materials and labor received from our local community.<br \/>\nFamilies in need of home repairs or who want to be considered for the next Habitat home are encouraged to contact Sue Carroll at 989-227-1771 for information and an application.<br \/>\nHabitat\u2019s ReStore, located at 2352 N. US 27 in St. Johns, also helps support Habitat\u2019s mission of providing affordable housing by selling new and used household and building materials. Your donations are gratefully accepted and are tax deductible. Volunteer staffing is needed for full or part time work.
