This session introduces new computer users to basic concepts and skills for personal computers. Activities focus on how to power up and shut down; use the mouse and keyboard; use menus; open and close programs; create, save and print files; and how to find help. To be held on September 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Bentley Campus, Room 1547. Cost is $30.<br \/>\n&#8220;Advanced QuickBooks&#8221; will prepare you to customize and create new reports in QuickBooks, create a secure environment, set up budgets, and to utilize QuickBooks letters. (Students must have completed or be proficient in skills of &#8220;Intermediate QuickBooks&#8221;.) Scheduled for September 14 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Bentley Campus, Room 1547. Cost is $65.<br \/>\n&#8220;Personal Success through True Colors\u00ae&#8221; will help you, your employees or co-workers develop more self-confidence, respect for one another and work as a connected team! True Colors\u00ae is a simple but powerful model of personality identification for people of all ages that improves communication through recognition of a person\u2019s true character. This hands-on, energizing and fun workshop fosters positive and productive personal development that will improve communication, team-building, leadership, and conflict resolution skills both at work and at home. Scheduled for September 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Baker\u2019s Welcome Center, Room C\/D. Cost is $75.<br \/>\nIn &#8220;Introduction to Photoshop CS4&#8221;, students will learn how to use Photoshop to create professional-looking images for both print and the Web. In this introductory, hands-on session, students will identify the components of the Photoshop environment, learn about the differences between raster and vector graphics, and how to use Adobe Bridge. Students will explore methods of selecting image areas and will learn how to modify and manipulate selections. Students will learn how to work with text, layers, and layer effects; how to adjust, retouch, and resize images; and how to prepare images for printing and the Web. Scheduled for September 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Baker\u2019s Tech Center, Room 1623. Cost is $165.<br \/>\nSeptember workshops also include a variety of Microsoft Office programs to help support your business and home activities. Workshops include keyboarding, Internet and E-mail Fundamentals, and Basic Windows, Excel and Word 2007.
