I thought I would find a book and read up on the subject but if I do that, I’d have to write more about it.
\nPeople don’t want to hear that their country is in decline but unfortunately, that’s what’s happening.
\nWe’ve seen high paying jobs disappear and re-appear in other countries only to have the wages greatly reduced. A dollar or two an hour is big money to those people. We are funding that because after all, we’re buying those cheap products via Wal-Mart. The bill will come in later.
\nWe hear all about the administration bragging that they’ve created 100,000, or whatever the number is, new jobs but what they don’t tell us is that these are $8 an hour jobs and the ones we lost were $16-18 an hour jobs. They also don’t tell us how many people are working at these newly created jobs. Is it one person and one job, or is it one person and two jobs? How many of these are full time jobs? How many of these jobs have benefits.
\nToo damn many questions.
\nHaving more than one job is what some people will have to do to try to keep up with their parent’s standard of living.
\nWhat’s in our future? We’re going to have to greatly reduce our standard of living in order to keep up with, or is it down to, the rest of the world. We probably won’t go back to sod houses but that, or something similar to it, is what a lot of people live in around the World. Their biggest goal for the day is having one good meal – they’ll thankfully forgo the evening news.
\nThe World has progressed not in spite of the United States, but because of it. I hate to think what would have happened had we not stepped in during World War II and showed the World how to settle the issue.
\nWe stood in the doorway when the World needed us to.
\nI wonder what France would do today if some country marched its army across their border. I wonder what Africa would do if we didn’t intervene with their AIDS epidemic and famines. I wonder what Haiti would do without our help after their latest earthquake. What other nation has created a welfare system for 12 million illegal aliens when own citizens have needs?
\nWhere in hell are the other great nations of the Earth while we’re doing all of this?
\nThere’s a group of Americans called “Globalist.” They are abandoning these shores and are going elsewhere and taking our jobs with them. For those who might think they are on a humanitarian mission – you’re mistaken. They’re looking for all the profits they can get. After all, that’s what drives them. Our problem here at home is we asked for too high of a percentage of the profits. The Globalist won’t put up with that.
\nThey told us the service industry would replace those lost jobs and then they sent computer tech support jobs to India, the Philippines, and other points East. Where are the electronics factories in this country? When’s the last time you pulled up to a full service gas station?
\nSome promise that turned out to be.
\nWe’re militarily strong because our economy affords us to be. If our economy fails, we risk becoming a 2nd or 3rd rate power like Great Britain and France. The World will not be a better place if that happens.
\nOn top of all that we have an administration hell bent on destroying this country and we’ve got a prophecy chasing us that says we will spend ourselves to death. Is anybody really impressed with the $578,000,000 school complex in Los Angeles when they’ve laid off 3,000 teachers in the past two years and are cutting academic programs? Will their students get any better education than the students at Houghton Lake High School?
\nI think I have a headache. Honey! Where’s the Tylenol?
\nUntil the next time . . .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
America the bountiful<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[9],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-17698","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news"],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/17698","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=17698"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/17698\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=17698"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=17698"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=17698"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
