The tree was authenticated by Dr. Woody Earl in June 2007.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/10oct\/magnolia1.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" \/><br \/>\nBuds on magnolia trees come out in\u00a0late summer and early fall of the year, and bloom in the next Spring.  Some museum guests found strange looking blooms this fall (3rd week of September) and so we did a little research.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/10oct\/magnolia5.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" \/><br \/>\nThe pictures here were taken a week later, and many of the blooms had fallen off already.
