The program is designed to help breast cancer survivors enjoy better quality of life.<br \/>\nThe Healthy Steps program is smooth and slow, featuring resistant movements that are gentle and easy to complete. It can be done sitting or standing. No dance experience or coordination is required, and survivors of any age and any fitness levels are welcome.<br \/>\nHealthy Steps can benefit participants by helping them:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Regain range of motion<br \/>\n\u00b7 Increase flexibility in Frozen Shoulder<br \/>\n\u00b7 Work with balance issues, both physical and emotional<br \/>\n\u00b7 Reduce the risk of lymphedema<br \/>\n\u00b7 Reduce swelling from lymphedema<br \/>\n\u00b7 Decrease depression<br \/>\n\u00b7 Promote a positive self-image<br \/>\n\u00b7 Stabilize weight<br \/>\nClasses meet from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. on consecutive Tuesdays at the Sparrow Clinton Hospital Wellness Center in the Southpoint Mall.<br \/>\nIf you would like to participate in this exercise program, call 517.364.2689. First class is free to new participants with subsequent class fees on a sliding scale. Scholarships are available. Please consult your physician before beginning any exercise program.<br \/>\nThe Healthy Steps program is supported by a grant from the Mid-Michigan Affiliate of Susan G.
