Once you look into his heavy-lidded eyes and receive one of his wet kisses you’ll agree. You betcha! And though his eyes make him look sleepy, he has lots of energy for play time, especially if a tennis ball is involved. He could play for hours and hours and hours. Anyway, that’s his favorite thing to do besides following you around till you scratch his ears.
When Kodiak is not outside trying to get you to throw his ball —Oh how he loves his ball!—he is a quiet gentleman who just wants a comfortable place to sleep near his humans. When he is left out with the other dogs, he is a very good boy.
Sometimes mommy and daddy make him stay in his own room called a “crate.” He doesn’t like it all that much, but he deals with it especially if he gets a peanut butter kong.
Kodiak’s old mommy and daddy gave him up because he is supposed to have this thing called “noise anxiety.” It’s like getting upset during a thunderstorm or fireworks. Foster mommy and daddy haven’t seen any of this yet, so they think it might have a lot to do with how he is treated during those noisy times. He shouldn’t be left outside or by himself in a dark room. If you’re home, let him be by you and if you’re not, put him in a nice crate with comfy blankets and a kong!
Foster mommy and daddy also put something on him called a “thundershirt.” He is not sure what it is, but he likes it. Mommy says he looks very handsome in it and daddy says it’s pretty cheap to buy.
Daddy also says that he is very good with other dogs and people and is completely house-trained. He’s a good boy!
One thing he doesn’t understand, though, is cats. He lives with 9 of them. He can’t figure out why they don’t want his face in their face, but he knows they don’t like it and he mostly leaves them alone. He doesn’t much like to be alone so if you’re gone a lot, another doggy to stay with would make him very happy.
Kodiak is only three years old; and he really wants a fun, loving place to stay for the rest of his life! I bet you could adopt him.
Think he’s the guy for you? Apply for him.
