{"id":19907,"date":"2010-12-16T21:56:30","date_gmt":"2010-12-17T01:56:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/?p=19907"},"modified":"2010-12-16T21:56:30","modified_gmt":"2010-12-17T01:56:30","slug":"celebrate-winter-jan-29","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/celebrate-winter-jan-29\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrate Winter Jan. 29"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/10dec\/snowdayth.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"alignleft size-full\" \/>With Auxiliary\u2019s 3rd Annual Snow Day<!--more--><br \/>\nBy January 29 the excitement of the holidays will have gone its way leaving a perfect time to pay tribute to old man winter during Sparrow Clinton Auxiliary\u2019s third annual \u201cSnow Day at the Emerald.\u201d Mark that as a red letter day on your calendar with the list of activities to begin at 3 p.m.<br \/>\nThat list will include such outdoor activities as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking around the Emerald golf course and, of course, the popular late afternoon and evening bonfire offering a perfect venue for marshmallow roasting.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/10dec\/snowday.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Ann Stine Hufnagel, Robin Motz Ingalls and Cindy Knight offered their suggestions to the group and smiles for the camera. Ms Ingalls serves as co-chair with Kathie Clock.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nIf you\u2019re an insider, there\u2019ll be cards and Wii games along with musical entertainment by the Bill Brown band. \u201cWe\u2019re very pleased that Bill has again volunteered his time with us,\u201d commented co-chair Kathie Clock. \u201cBill\u2019s unique style of entertainment lends a spirited setting to this event.\u201d<br \/>\nAs you mark your calendar and prepare for the date, Auxiliary members are currently busy contacting area businesses, recruiting participants for the featured chili cook off and hot cocoa competition. The first chili contest was won by Robin Motz Ingalls and Dean Mazzolini captured the second match. Last year the hot chocolate contest was added and won by Anita Rositas. Each event provided much interest and enthusiasm to the day\u2019s theme.<br \/>\nTickets to \u201cSnow Day\u201d include not only the offered activities, but also a hot dog, hamburger and fixings dinner along with an open bar. Where else can you enjoy such a festive setting for only $15.00?<br \/>\n\u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to another fun day at the Emerald,\u201d Ms Clock said. \u201cAs with most Auxiliary\u2019s projects, this event is planned with intentions to raise funds for the hospital.
