All the activity precedes next week\u2019s third annual \u201cSnow Day at the Emerald,\u201d sponsored by Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary.<br \/>\nThe event begins around 3p.m. Saturday January 29 and extends throughout the evening. Tickets for the day are $15 per person which includes indoor\/outdoor activities, entertainment by the Bill Brown band, a hot dog, hamburger and fixings dinner along with an open bar.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/11jan\/emerald1.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Craig Smith representing Main Street Caf\u00e9; Dave Hunt, Big Boy Restaurant; Anita Rositas, personal and Judy Miller, Sparrow Clinton Hospital<\/em><br \/>\nOutdoors the schedule calls for such activities as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking around the Emerald golf course and, of course, the popular late afternoon and evening bonfire. Indoors there\u2019ll be cards and Wii games, tables for private card games and social times.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/11jan\/emerald2.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" \/><br \/>\n<em>With ink to the dotted line, Erika Jerome enters Nic\u2019s Restaurant and Bowl of Ovid as a contestant in the Snow Day chili cook off.  <\/em><br \/>\n\u201cWhile time is running down, if there are any other chili or cocoa cooks who wish to join the challenge, we can add them to the list,\u201d explained co-chair Kathie Clock. The current chili list includes Bruno\u2019s Bar, Big Boy Restaurant, Nic\u2019s Restaurant and Bowl, Galesk Tree Farm, The Hitching Post, Main Street Caf\u00e9, The Emerald, The Wheel Inn, Sparrow Clinton Hospital, Swany\u2019s Pub and Grup and one individual entry, Anita Rositas.<br \/>\nThree ladies will be offering their number one hot cocoa recipes. They are Ann Hufnagel, Nancy Mino and Anita Rositas.<br \/>\nTickets for Snow Day may be purchased by contacting Kathie Clock, 989 834-2412, co-chair Robin Motz-Ingalls, 989 224-8320 or any Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary member.
