{"id":20638,"date":"2011-01-27T21:54:44","date_gmt":"2011-01-28T01:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/?p=20638"},"modified":"2011-01-27T21:54:44","modified_gmt":"2011-01-28T01:54:44","slug":"scholar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/scholar\/","title":{"rendered":"Foundation offers healthcare scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whyman Scholarship<!--more--><br \/>\nLooking for some help to build your college fund?<br \/>\nClinton County students interested in pursuing careers in health care can receive scholarship assistance from the Sparrow Clinton Hospital Foundation.<br \/>\nThe Merten and Geraldine Whyman Health Careers Scholarship Fund, an endowment fund established in 1986, provides annual scholarships for education in a health-related field to Clinton County residents. Thanks to additional contributions by community members, the fund has grown to provide even more scholarship opportunities. To date, 203 students have received Whyman scholarships, representing a total investment of more than $189,000.<br \/>\nApplications and guidelines have been sent to all Clinton County public and private high schools as well as adult education programs. Any Clinton County resident interested in a healthcare career is encouraged to apply.<br \/>\nHigh school students can pick up applications from their counselor&#8217;s office.<br \/>\nApplications also are available at Sparrow Clinton Hospital and online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparrow.org\/whymanscholarship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.sparrow.org\/whymanscholarship<\/a>.<br \/>\nFor more information, call the Clinton Memorial Hospital Foundation at 989.227.3396 or 989.227.3333.
