Or, you used to do scrap booking and now have boxes of paper and things you will never use again. If it’s time to do a little Spring Cleaning at your house, consider donating things to the Clinton County Senior Center.
\nThe Center is always looking for new or gently used items for their Gift Shop (nik naks, books, pillows, stuffed animals, puzzles, etc). They also accept yarn and fabric (some of the seniors make blankets for soldiers over seas, others make items for the Gift Shop). They also take new or gently used puzzles (the seniors always have a puzzle going and they use some of them on the Bingo table).
\nFinally, the Center is always looking for Bake Sale Supplies such as sugar, shortening, flour, raisins, vegetable oil, walnuts, canned frosting, etc. The center holds a Bake Sale once a month at Kroger’s and the funds raised from each sale go towards the operating expenses at the center.
\nIf you have things to donate, you can drop them off at the Center at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns or you can call Brenda at 989-224-7248 to arrange a pick up. If you are dropping things off, please put the name “Darlene Terpening” on the box so the person at the front desk will know who to get them to.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Do you still have that gift in a box from five years ago that you still don’t know what to do with?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[9],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-21236","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news"],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/21236","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=21236"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/21236\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=21236"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=21236"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=21236"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
