Individuals who were initially licensed prior to January 1, 2009 are required to have 3 hours of continuing competency. Three hours of continuing competency is required in order to renew existing builder&#8217;s licenses before May 31, 2011.<br \/>\nThe course is approved by the State of Michigan and covers all 3 required elements including 1 hour of building codes and laws, 1 hour of safety and 1 hour of changes in construction and business management laws. The course will be offered on April 18th, May 9th, May 23rd and May 26th from 6:10 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Baker College, Welcome Center in Room C &#038; D.<br \/>\nBaker College will certify that participants have met individual parameters as established by the State of Michigan and will issue a certificate verifying completion.<br \/>\nSessions are facilitated by architect Jed Dingens, AIA, LEED AP, the owner of Dingens Architects.
