75 Years of Osteopathic Medicine
\nMichigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) today honored Carson City Hospital (CCH) with an award for 75 years of osteopathic service to residents in Clinton, Gratiot, Ionia and Montcalm counties at its annual convention in Dearborn, Mich. CCH is Michigan\u2019s oldest osteopathic hospital.
\nDonna Moyer, DO, chief of radiology at Carson City Hospital, presented the award before a crowd of approximately 150 osteopathic leaders during MOA\u2019s annual House of Delegates assembly. MOA past president and honored member, Dr. Moyer has a long history of involvement with the organization.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s an honor and a privilege to be part to the longstanding heritage of Carson City Hospital,\u201d said Moyer. \u201cAs a community hospital, CCH exemplifies and promotes the holistic principals of osteopathic medicine.\u201d
\nCCH\u2019s Roger Morris, DO, a dedicated House of Delegates assembly participant, accepted the award on behalf of the hospital.
\n\u201cWith Dr. Morris\u2019s long-time commitment and involvement in MOA, he is the perfect person to accept this award on behalf of CCH,\u201d said Moyer.
\nCCH provides a teaching facility and a variety of advanced services, including intensive\/coronary care, behavioral health, cardiac rehabilitation, mental health, nuclear medicine, occupational health, osteopathic manipulative treatment, pain management, radiology, surgery, urology and family practice-internal medicine.
\nThe hospital is a member of MOA and of Michigan Health and Hospital Association. It is affiliated with the Sparrow Health System of Lansing.
