An unlawful entry by police would be an entry into a home when there is no valid search warrant or probable cause. Indiana Supreme Court Justice Steven David stated “We believe a right to resist an unlawful police entry into a home is against public policy.”
\nHmmm. Wouldn’t you think “public policy” just might be the US Constitution, including Article IV of the Bill of Rights? Or perhaps the identical wording of the 4th Amendment found in Article 1 Section 11 of Indiana’s own state constitution?
\nLocal residents will get a chance to listen to our very own Michigan Supreme Court Justice Stephen Markman comment on the Constitution, and answer questions, at a Town Hall Meeting sponsored by the Clinton County Tea Party Patriots, on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Dewitt Banquet and Conference Center (http:\/\/www.bccdewitt.com<\/a>).
\nThe meeting starts at 7:00 pm.
