{"id":23084,"date":"2011-06-09T20:46:07","date_gmt":"2011-06-10T00:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/?p=23084"},"modified":"2011-06-09T20:46:07","modified_gmt":"2011-06-10T00:46:07","slug":"carson-95","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/carson-95\/","title":{"rendered":"CCH Auxiliary awards scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/11june\/carsonscholarsth.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" \/>Each year, the Carson City Hospital Auxiliary<!--more--> (CCHA) awards college scholarships to local students based on community involvement, academic achievement, and planned course of study.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/11june\/carsonscholars.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" \/><br \/>\n<em>CCHA President Marie Lynn Watts, scholarship winner Brianna Fuller of Fulton High School, scholarship winner Nicholas Nassif of Central Montcalm High School, scholarship winner Lauren Buhr of Fowler High School, and CCHA Corresponding Secretary Daniyel McAlvey<\/em><br \/>\nThis year&#8217;s winners were Brianna Fuller of Fulton High School, Nicholas Nassif of Central Montcalm High School, and Lauren Buhr of Fowler High School.<br \/>\n&#8220;We usually choose two scholarship winners from the many applications we receive, but this year&#8217;s applicants were so impressive we couldn&#8217;t narrow it down quite that far and chose three winners!&#8221; said CCHA President Marie Lynn Watts.<br \/>\nEach student received a scholarship in the amount of $500 to use toward school tuition, books or living expenses. Fuller said she plans to attend Trine University and study physical therapy. Nassif plans to attend Central Michigan University and study math and pre-medicine.
