According to Auxiliary Fund Raising Chair Kathie Clock, the original concept Ms Jegla had for use of the name, was to provide a traveling theme to assist various non-profit fund raising groups. “We respect Tena’s purpose and realize it is time for her to be able to help other charitable efforts beyond Sparrow Clinton Hospital.”
Ms Clock went on to explain that beginning next year, the Auxiliary outing will be called “Gals ‘Fore’ Giving. Her thoughtfulness and our use of her “Chicks for Charity” name has allowed us to establish an annual fund raiser that already has a solid base for continued growth.
The most recent event was held June 23 and resulted in over $4,000.00 added to the Auxiliary’s treasury in support of Sparrow Clinton Hospital.
