\nI\u2019m currently reading, \u201cOf the I Zing,\u201d by Laura Ingraham on my Kindle. At first I thought it was a knock on some politician books such as another one she wrote, \u201cObama Diaries,\u201d but it wasn\u2019t. It\u2019s basically a book of her pet peeves about everyday people like we all have. Some of her peeves I can relate to and others, I\u2019ll never be in that position to know about and that\u2019s okay with me.
\nThe one about the guy picking his nose in a checkout line at the grocery store brings back memories of the time when I saw a guy picking his nose in a very unusual way. He not only explored the apparently deep cavity of his nostrils but he ran four different fingers up his nose in sequence. It was like a perfectly orchestrated Ballet of the fingers. The only thing missing was the music. I\u2019m not that coordinated to do it. There must have been some gray matter clinging to the end of his fingers. When he was all done I\u2019m sure the offending booger had been dislodged and disposed of \u2014 somewhere.
\nYuk!
\nMaybe it\u2019s a good thing that some people have small nostrils and big fingers. It spares us from seeing too much of, \u201cnot a good thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a fan of \u201creality tv.\u201d \u201cAmerican Idol,\u201d you\u2019re guessing? Nope. \u201cSurvivors,\u201d you\u2019re thinking? Nope, we got tired of its phoniness. America\u2019s Funniest Videos? Half of them are staged. Dancing with the Stars,\u201d well now you\u2019re getting desperate. Nope. It\u2019s \u201cPickers,\u201d \u201cPawn Stars,\u201d and \u201cAmerican Restoration.\u201d
\nNow that\u2019s real reality programming.<\/p>\n

I know other graduating classes will say theirs was the best but I think 1962 was the best year ever to graduate in. We used to drag main while listening to, \u201cSherry,\u201d by the Four Seasons, \u201cDuke of Earl,\u201d by Gene Chandler, and it was just before the Beatles were about to invade America.
\nWe either drove some of the coolest cars or we saw them downtown. Ferguson\u2019s Plymouth Fury, Ernst\u2019s \u201c56\u201d Ford painted Lincoln Green, and Dunsmore\u2019s hot rod pickup truck (he still has it the last I knew). Cone and Baby Moon hubcaps were popular at that time and so was the J.C. Whitney\u2019s automobile parts catalog.<\/p>\n

The rooster is still in the first leg of his night\u2019s sleep when I get up in the morning. Don\u2019t ask me why. Either I\u2019m going nuts or I just can\u2019t miss those infomercials that run all night long. I get up anywhere between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m. in the morning. Nobody\u2019s is up at that time. The World is quiet and not causing me any concern. That\u2019s why I don\u2019t turn the news on, what I don\u2019t know won\u2019t hurt me.<\/p>\n

I know Jerry Lewis has done a lot of good things for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, but I\u2019ve never been a big fan of his. I\u2019ve never heard or read anything about what\u2019s behind the breakup of the comedy duo, \u201cMartin & Lewis,\u201d but something tells me Lewis was at fault.
\nRecently he was removed as chairman of MDA and host of the telethon. I can only imagine that he went into some kind of rant in front of the board of directors over something and they saw fit to remove him. Nobody\u2019s talking about it which seems to be an almost impossible thing to happen nowadays.
\nI know Lewis is not a humble person but maybe he should have gone that route a little bit and called the MD patients our kids instead of his kids. After all a lot of people gave of their time and money to the cause, he was just the mouth piece.<\/p>\n

Short thoughts:
\nIf you have a craving for a \u201cradish burp\u201d and find out that the radishes are hot. Do what I do, salt the hell out of them!
\nIt hasn\u2019t gone unnoticed in this household that Andy Rooney has been \u201cmissing in action\u201d on the 60 Minutes program. I hope he\u2019s alright.
\nThe presidency has been a mess since Ronald Reagan left office and he was in the early stages of Alzheimer\u2019s Disease.
\nDavid Letterman is a Hollywood type liberal but his late night show is still number one with me. That\u2019s why I won\u2019t hold his politics against him.
\nDid you ever notice that bread has a chemical smell to it a couple of days after you open it? In case you wondered, it\u2019s those preservatives at work
