Born July 3, 1917 in Venice Township-Shiawassee County, Michigan, the daughter of Vernon and Mazie (Fortress) Snyder. She was a member of Middlebury United Methodist Church where she served as church treasurer for 21 years. She formerly worked as a Secretary for General Telephone Company and served as Middlebury Township Clerk for 28 years. Elizabeth was married to George Putnam on February 19, 1955.<br \/>\nShe is survived by one son, Lynn (Susan) Putnam, two stepsons, Keith (Shanna) Putnam, Kenneth (Marsha) Putnam, four grandchildren, Kathryn Putnam, Todd (Tammy) Putnam, Neil (Kathy) Putnam, Chris (Dawn) Putnam, six great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, George Putnam, sister, Elbertha Turley, sister-in-law, Grace Putnam, and brother-in-law, Robert Turley.<br \/>\nBurial has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at The Houghton Chapel of The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneral.com\/ \"target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a>, Ovid with Pastor Donald Wentz officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the Memorial Service from 10-11a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Donald Lee Hebeler<\/strong><br \/>\nDonald Lee Hebeler, age 78, of St. Johns, MI died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at his home.<br \/>\nMemorial Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel, St. Johns, MI on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Bob Prange officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 8, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 PM with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.<br \/>\nDonald was born in Ovid Township, Michigan on October 22, 1932, the son of Robert Clark and Pauline (Kuripla) Hebeler. He served his country in the US Army. Don was a Tool Room Supervisor with General Motors retiring in 1988 after 35 years of service. He also farmed and owned\/operated Don Hebeler Excavating.<br \/>\nHe is survived by 3 sons; Paul and Debra Hebeler of Elsie, MI, James Hebeler of St. Johns, MI, Bruce and Deb Hebeler of St. Johns, MI, daughter Shari and Albert Koenigsknecht of Fowler, MI, very special loved one Donna Powell of St. Johns, MI, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brother Robert and Pauline Hebeler Jr. of Ovid, MI, and sister-in-law Mary Lou Hebeler of Ovid, MI. Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard Hebeler.<br \/>\nMemorials may be made to McLaren Hospice, 2316 S. Cedar Suite 600, Lansing, MI 48910.
