Rick Jones, R-Grand Ledge, reported that the Michigan Special Olympics is planning a special legislative \u201cPolar Plunge\u201d. The event is held annually across the state to raise money for the athletes to participate in the summer and winter games.<br \/>\nLast year Jones was the only legislator to participate in the event. Jones has served as a volunteer for the summer games many times.<br \/>\nThe Michigan Special Olympics plans to place a pool in front of the Capitol so that legislators can easily participate in the plunge.
