High Street in Ovid on Sunday, January 22, at 1:00 PM.
The homeowners, Gabriel and Luther Senter and their son James, have anxiously waited for this day to arrive and have been an integral part of the building process. Gabby and Luther partnered with Habitat to help build the house by dedicating more than 500 hours of sweat equity of their own.
This year, Habitat conducted an Apostles Build which consisted of 13 local churches who provided both the funding and the volunteer labor.
Habitat is extremely grateful for the generosity of these sponsor churches: United Church of Ovid, Salem United Methodist, Lowe United Methodist, Maple Rapids United Methodist, Catholic Community of St. Jude, First United Methodist, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pilgrim United Methodist, Bath United Methodist, Gunnisonville United Methodist, Church of the Living Word, Chapel Hill United Methodist and Crossroads United Methodist. Without their support and that of their entire congregations, this house would not have become a home to a deserving family.
In addition to the Apostle churches, many other local contractors and businesses provided support and gifts in kind. Over 180 volunteers provided 2,300 hours toward the completion of this project.
The dedication is open to the general public. A luncheon will be served at the United Church of Ovid, 131 W. Front Street, immediately following the ceremony.

It took many hands to build the Habitat house in Ovid.

[9

post-26748","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
