The classes will be held on Tuesdays and meet in the Gateway North Elementary School Cafeteria. Session I: Tuesdays, February 7, 14, 21, 28, March 6 and 13, 2012 &#8211; *Make-Up dates: March 20 and 27th Session II: Tuesdays, April 10, 17, 24, May 1, 8 and 15, 2012 &#8211; No Classes on April 3rd. *If school is cancelled due to the weather, Line Dancing is cancelled as well. Check the website for cancellations. If there are no cancellations due to weather &#8211; March 20 and 27th will be drop-in dates. The Line-Dancing class runs from 7:00 p.m. &#8211; 8:00 p.m. with extra practice from 8:00 p.m. &#8211; 8:30 p.m. All classes will be taught by David Pickett of Bar D Ranch Country Dance Lessons. David has been Country-Western Dancing for almost 20 years.<br \/>\nCost for a 6-week session of Line Dancing is $40 per person for city residents and $50 per person for non-city residents. Drop in rates are $8 for city residents and $10 for non-city residents. Drop-ins are allowed only if space permits. You must reside within the City Limits to qualify as a City Resident. You may have a St. Johns mailing address but not live within the city limits. Please wear comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes (leather soles recommended) to dance in. You may want to bring a bottle of water to drink.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Tired of the treadmill and looking for a fun way to stay fit and healthy?<br \/>\nBoot camp alternates strength-training exercises with aerobic activities to give you two workouts in one. Increase your strength, endurance and tone up with Boot Camp. Classes combine intervals of cardio drills and muscle conditioning exercises to provide you with the ultimate circuit workout. Some exercises include, pushups, lunges, work with medicine balls and bands. Expect the unexpected in these full-body Boot Camp classes, which are always challenging and fun. It is highly recommended that you preregister with the city offices before the first day of class.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.<br \/>\nInstructor: Denise Thelen.<br \/>\nThe 5 week Zumba session will be held at Gateway North Elementary School from 7:00 &#8211; 7:45 p.m.<br \/>\nWinter Session II: Mondays, February 13, 20, 27, March 5 and 12, 2012<br \/>\nAny Make-up Days due to weather cancellations will be Mondays, March 19 and 26, 2012*<br \/>\n*If school is cancelled due to the weather, Zumba is cancelled as well. Check the website for cancellations.<br \/>\nCost for a Zumba session is $20 per five-week session per person for City Residents and $25 for non-City Residents. You can also drop in each night and pay $6 as a city resident or $7 as a non-city resident. Drop-ins are allowed only if space permits. Most sessions have been filling up so it is highly recommended that you pre-register with the city offices before the first day of class.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Yoga for EveryBody (open to all levels) will cultivate ease and flow in practice, focusing on the many benefits of yoga. The last class will be a Restorative Yoga Practice. Practice of the various poses cleanses the body by increasing circulation and purging it of toxins. Asanas (poses) restore strength in muscles and bones, increase flexibility and stability in joints, improve posture and stamina, and bring calm to the body and mind. You must bring your own yoga mats. Instructor: Amy Noren<br \/>\nAll Yoga classes are held on Wednesdays.<br \/>\nSession 2 will start February 22nd and end March 28th.<br \/>\nAll classes meet from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the Wilson Center Conference Room.<br \/>\nCost for a 6-week Yoga session is $45 for city resident and $55 for non-city resident.
